Peterborough Regional Health Centre in Peterborough, ON, is hiring a Medical Radiation Technologist in Nuclear Medicine. This permanent, full-time role requires CMRO/CMRITO registration and a graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program. You will perform procedures with a focus on safety and patient care.

HOURS OF WORK:

The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the performance of duties that, with due respect to radiation safety and quality patient care will produce accurate and expedient results from Nuclear Medicine examinations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Graduate of an approved program of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Registration with the following:
• College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required
• Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists preferred
• Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists preferred
• Previous experience in a hospital environment would be an asset
• Current First Aid and BCLS

WHO YOU ARE:

• Demonstrated working knowledge of popular operating systems, word processing software and proprietary Nuclear Medicine protocol software
• Strong organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to assess patient capabilities and limitations and adjust as necessary
