Job summary

The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT I) at Covenant Health Canada provides radiographic, fluoroscopic, CT and interventional imaging in a busy DI Radiography unit. You will deliver high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates are graduates of a Radiological Technology program, hold active ACMDTT registration and BLS Level C, with acute care experience and CT knowledge; a flexible, casual/relief role at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiological Technology program or recognized equivalent.
• Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
• BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, CT and interventional procedures.
• Produce radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner.
• Provide services in accordance with Covenant Health standards, policies and procedures.

Description:

The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures. The MRT I also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience in an Acute Care DI department. Experience with non-enhanced CT.
