The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) is an essential member of the New Vision Family Health Team, providing support to ensure efficient, high-quality, and patient-centred care in a primary care setting. This role involves direct patient interaction, including preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, and maintaining clinical documentation.
The MOA contributes to safe and effective care by maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms, utilizing proper infection control procedures, and supporting physicians and other healthcare providers. This position requires the application of sound judgment and critical thinking to assess and report clinical findings and ensure accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Working collaboratively with physicians and the broader interdisciplinary team, the Medical Office Assistant plays a key role in delivering a positive and seamless care experience for patients.
