Role Description

The Medical Office Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at Seymour Health Centre in Vancouver, BC. This role supports family physicians and daily clinic operations by greeting patients, managing check-in and check-out processes, and ensuring the accurate collection of patient information. The Medical Office Assistant schedules and confirms appointments, answers and directs phone calls, and responds to general inquiries with professional and respectful communication. Responsibilities include verifying insurance details, updating patient records, preparing charts, and providing administrative assistance to clinicians and staff. The role also involves coordinating referrals, handling medical documents securely, and contributing to a welcoming, efficient environment for patients and colleagues.
