Halton Healthcare invites applications for a part-time Medical Laboratory Technologist to support Biochemistry, Hematology and Transfusion Medicine. The role requires current registration with the Ontario MLS and 3–5 years in a core lab, with flexibility to cover Oakville and Milton sites as needed.

The position offers a variable shift schedule, including weekends and holidays, and compensation in the hourly range published by the hospital.

Qualifications

• Recent experience of 3–5 years in a core lab environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine.

Job Description

Responsible for all duties in the Biochemistry, Hematology and Transfusion Medicine departments.

• Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
• Recent experience of 3 - 5 years in a "core lab" environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Biochemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine
• Familiar with routine automated equipment
• Flexibility in providing coverage at Oakville and Milton sites (if operational needs exist)
• Ability to work effectively as a collaborative member of a team.
• Ability to work independently during off hours.
• Apositive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communicationskills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Additional Information

Hours: Monday to Sunday - All shifts, weekends, and holidays (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)

Salary: $38.800 TO $52.910 per hour
