Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology with active registration and current licensure with the applicable regulatory body.
• Minimum of two years of recent, relevant experience as an MLT or in a related field in a Canadian laboratory, including clinical laboratory.
• Ability to engage students in learning complex topics through lectures, labs, one-on-one support, and constructive feedback.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, collaboration, and inclusive education.
• Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
• Competence with MS Office Suite, educational software, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.

Responsibilities

• Select, design, update and construct educational courses and lab aids/materials.
• Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations for Medical Laboratory Science.
• Supervise students in classroom, clinical, labs, tours, etc.; may involve travel.
• Evaluate students through exams, assignments and observations and record progress.
• Counsel students and prospective students on program matters and job opportunities.
