Qualifications

• Completion of an ACP program from an approved school.
• A minimum of two years’ EMT-P/ACP or five years’ EMT/PCP experience.
• Valid Practicing License with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
• Current Instructor level ITLS and Basic Life Support certifications.
• Current Provider level ACLS and PALS or PEPP certification.
• Ability to apply adult education principles to assist learners with emergency health care knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills; productive working relations.
• Experience facilitating students in a precepted practicum.
• Proficiency with internet, email, MS Office; ability to learn and adapt to technology.

Responsibilities

• Plan/facilitate the delivery of a learning program or course at all three levels within the Paramedic Programs, including labs, scenario practice, and lectures.
• Develop and maintain community/agency partnerships.
• Manage the learning environment in classroom and practicum settings.
• Participate in Program and School related initiatives.
• Act as practicum liaison for Paramedic students and preceptors, assisting with paperwork/evaluation.
• Establish and maintain external relationships with educational institutions, simulation labs, vendors, and health leaders nationally and internationally.
• Establish and maintain internal relationships within Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
