Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) in Red Deer is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant I to support the Laboratory Specimen Control unit. You will assist with procurement, processing, and testing of specimens and ensure results are reported accurately.

The role is part-time (0.60 FTE) at Red Deer Regional Hospital, with a shift pattern including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Completion of an accredited MLA program is required, with recent phlebotomy experience and English proficiency.

Formación

• Completion of accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
• Recent acute care phlebotomy experience within the last 1 year.
• Proficient in the English language.
• TDG and WHMIS certificates preferred.
• Connect Care experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Procure, handle, process, dispatch, and test specimens.
• Perform procedures and report results accurately.
• Ensure lab data is correctly recorded and communicated.
