Alberta Precision Labs (APL) is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant I to support the Market Mall Patient Service Centre, performing venipuncture, ECGs, specimen handling, testing and reporting results in a fast-paced, public-facing role.

This Regular Part Time position offers a competitive salary, development opportunities and comprehensive benefits, with shift patterns including days, evenings and weekends and a 0.70 FTE.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
• Previous Phlebotomy experience and ECG Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner.
• Procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.
