Job summary
StarFish Medical, based in Victoria, BC, invites applications for an Assembly and Service Technician to join a collaborative manufacturing team. You will assemble, test, document, and service a range of complex medical devices from prototypes to market-ready products.
Reporting to the Planning and Manufacturing Manager, you will follow work instructions, perform quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to on-time shipping commitments, with profit sharing and comprehensive benefits
Qualifications
- High-school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in manufacturing or related field is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical assembly, soldering, testing, or troubleshooting.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with SharePoint and ERP/MRP software is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, test and service medical devices following established instructions and quality requirements.
- Read BOMs and technical drawings to perform accurate assembly and documentation.
- Identify and troubleshoot assembly or test issues; escalate complex items as needed.
- Document assembly, inspection and product history accurately.
