Job description

Assembly Technician II, Oakville, ON, Canada, $25-32/hr CAD

Do you enjoy building complex electro-mechanical products and working hands-on with precision tools? Join an innovative biotech organization where you’ll support prototype through production builds of advanced instruments and consumables, with multiple roles and experience levels open as the manufacturing team scales.

Who you are:
  • High school diploma with 1-3+ years of experience in medical device, electronics, or electromechanical assembly (cGMP environment preferred)
  • Electromechanical background strongly preferred, with the ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and schematic drawings
  • Excellent manual dexterity, visual acuity, and attention to detail in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset when working cross-functionally
What you’ll do
  • Assemble electro-mechanical subassemblies and final products for prototype, validation, verification, and production builds following detailed work instructions and batch records
  • Perform cable routing, soldering, mechanical fastening, and component integration using hand tools, power tools, and precision equipment
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections and testing, accurately documenting results and initiating non-conformance reports when required
  • Set up and operate manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment while providing feedback to improve assembly methods, fixtures, and processes

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $25-32 per hr (CAD). Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
