Job description

Work Schedule:


Part-time, 80% FTE, day shift. Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Off on Wednesdays. No weekends required. Hours may vary based on departmental needs.


Pay: UW Health offers a competitive compensation package. Relevant work experience will be considered when determining the starting pay.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to:


  • Assist dermatologists and advanced practice providers diagnosing and treating skin, hair, nails, and mucous membrane conditions in a fast-paced clinic.
  • Support dermatology or Mohs surgery procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and suture removals.
  • Facilitate services such as phototherapy, photodynamic therapy, or laser treatments.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-family-centered care.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent and one of the following:
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, or
  • Licensure as an LPN, or
  • Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship or Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program, or
  • Attainment of CCMA certification as a UWH employee, or
  • Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated, or
  • One year of recent Medical Assistant experience with CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.

Work Experience


  • One year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN preferred.

Licenses & Certifications


  • Certification as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 year required, or
  • Licensure as an LPN upon hire required, or
  • Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification upon hire if applying in lieu of formal education or licensure, required.
  • CPR/BLS certification upon hire required.
