Job summary

SkyCare Air Ambulance in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, is looking for a Medevac Captain to operate the SW4 Metroliner supporting remote communities. Candidates must have 2,000+ flight hours and 500 multi-engine PIC hours. You will lead flight operations including pre-flight inspections, coordinating crew activities, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience and 2,000 total time hours.
• Minimum 500 Multi‑Engine PIC hours.
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector (within the last 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Exercise final authority over the safe operation of the aircraft.
• Conduct pre‑flight inspections and ensure proper weight and balance.
• Lead and coordinate flight crew activities during all phases of flight.
• Communicate with dispatch, air traffic control, and ground teams.
• Respond to in‑flight events, including emergencies and operational changes.
• Complete post‑flight inspections and report maintenance requirements.
