Job summary

SkyCare in Canada seeks a Captain to lead high-stakes air ambulance flights over remote environments. You will plan, brief, and execute IFR multi-engine missions with decisive, safety-first decision making and robust crew coordination.

You will communicate with dispatch, ATC, ground and medical partners, and ensure thorough post-flight reporting. A TC CPL/ATPL, multi-engine rating, and medical are required, with two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2,000 hours total time and 500 hours multi-engine PIC.
• Hold Transport Canada CPL (fixed-wing) and Transport Canada ATPL.
• Multi-engine Instrument Rating and a valid Canadian Aviation Medical.
• Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Licence and a valid driver’s licence.
• Eligible to work in Canada and travel to the USA.
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector within last 30 days.
• Strong English communication; calm under pressure and safety-focused.
• Note: at least two years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and brief each mission, ensuring regulatory and company compliance.
• Execute all phases of flight with precision, manage crew coordination and workload.
• Maintain timely communications with dispatch, ATC, and ground/medical partners.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks; manage abnormal and emergency situations.
• Oversee accurate post-flight documentation and report maintenance findings.
