Job summary

SkyCare Air Ambulance is seeking a Direct Entry Metro First Officer to join our Flight Operations team. You will work with Captains to ensure safe, efficient Metro aircraft operations in a dynamic multi-mission environment.

You will gain hands-on experience in multi-engine IFR operations while supporting air ambulance and charter flights across Canada and internationally. Assigned locations include Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay, with rotations based on operational needs.

Qualifications

  • 800 hours total flight time (TT) minimum.
  • Valid Transport Canada CPL.
  • Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Multi-Engine IFR rating (IFR).
  • Valid Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Able to meet international travel requirements including the United States.
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (within last 30 days).
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada with valid work authorization.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Support safe and efficient operation of Metro aircraft with Captains, Operations Control, Dispatch, Maintenance, and medical flight crews.
  • Perform diverse multi-engine IFR flying in scheduled and unscheduled operations.
  • Execute air ambulance and charter missions across Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

As a Direct Entry Metro First Officer, you'll join SkyCare's Flight Operations team and work alongside experienced Captains in a dynamic multi-mission environment. Your Role at SkyCare

As a Direct Entry Metro First Officer, you'll support the safe and efficient operation of Metro aircraft while working closely with Captains, Operations Control, Dispatch, Maintenance, and medical flight crews.

Location

Sioux Lookout (ON) and Thunder Bay (ON). Pilot assignments are driven by operational needs and may rotate across our network.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 800 hours Total Flight Time (TT).
  • Valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).
  • Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (IFR).
  • Valid Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Ability to meet applicable international travel requirements, including travel to the United States
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 30 days).
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to maintain valid work authorization throughout your employment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
