SkyCare Air Ambulance in Canada seeks an Astra Captain to lead multi-engine turbine IFR flights across North America and beyond, blending air ambulance duties with corporate charter operations. Based at Kitchener–Waterloo, you will oversee flight safety, pre-flight planning, and coordination with dispatch, maintenance, ATC, and ground teams.

The role requires at least 2,000 hours total time, 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC, Group 1 Instrument Rating, TC ATPL, and a valid medical.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2,000 hours total time in aviations operations.
• Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC and multi-engine turbine experience.
• Current Group 1 Instrument Rating and TC ATPL.

Responsibilities

• Exercise command authority and uphold flight safety standards.
• Perform pre-flight planning with weather, fuel, weight & balance analyses.
• Operate multi-engine turbine aircraft in IFR across domestic and international routes.
• Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, ATC, and ground handling teams.
• Deliver professional medevac and charter services with patient transport when required.

*Astra Captain*SkyCare is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Astra Captain supporting both air ambulance and charter operations. This role involves multi-engine turbine IFR operations across domestic and international routes, including long-range and time-sensitive missions throughout Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The position is suited to experienced pilots with strong operational judgment, leadership ability, and a background in corporate or charter flying environments.*Location: *Kitchener–Waterloo Base*Captain Requirements: *Captains are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, as well as the safety of all crew members, passengers, and patients on board. This role requires strong leadership, sound decision-making, and a high level of professionalism in both air ambulance and client-facing charter operations. All pilots are required to complete initial company training and successfully pass a PPC conducted by a Transport Canada Inspector or Approved Check Pilot.
