Job Description

MAJOR DUTIES :

Lead a team of Mechatronics Integrators in designing and integrating automation equipment and executing projects.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Team Leadership :
  • Serve as the main contact for team delegation, requests, and issue escalation.
  • Supervise, train, and guide all team members.
  • Ensure team meets departmental and project milestones and KPIs.
  • Foster creativity, efficiency, and collaboration.
  • Communicate company and department goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews and regular 1 : 1 coaching.
  • Oversee project costs and schedules.
  • Verify work product quality, standards compliance, and safety.
  • Encourage continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with managers on team performance goals.
  • Maintain health and safety compliance and ensure team safety.
  • Provide job-specific training and instructions.
  • Understand all team roles for coverage during absences.
  • Individual Contribution :
  • Assist mechanical design teams with design, simulations, and calculations.
  • Support project transition into integration, FAT, and SAT phases.
  • Manage equipment integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Travel for installation, SAT, and field support as needed.

Qualifications

Education : Post-secondary diploma or degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or controls engineering.

Experience : Several years in robotics, control systems, and machine operation; strong programming, mechanical, and electrical skills; effective communication; leadership experience.
