Process Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer (or EIT) to lead process engineering projects within a high-energy manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Process Engineering, this role involves overseeing the design and packaged manufacturing of gas processing facilities. The individual will collaborate closely with our fabrication department to ensure project realization from design to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Address daily shop floor questions to support the production team’s success
• Review general arrangements and 3D models for constructability
• Create process flow diagrams and piping/instrument diagrams
• Participate in HAZOP and SIL review meetings
• Specify instrumentation, including sizing PSV’s and control valves
• Size vessels and piping based on process data

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a modular packaging manufacturing environment
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Strong aptitude for assembly and fabrication
• Eligibility to register with APEGA as a P.Eng or EIT
• Experience with deep-cut/cryogenic plants, packaging condensate stabilizers, amine units, refrigeration units, etc.
• Knowledge of sizing pumps, heat exchangers, air coolers, compressors
• Design experience with pressure vessels and piping
• Ability to size pressure relief and control valves
• Familiarity with Hysys process simulation software
