Job summary

Vanderwesten & Rutherford Associates Inc. seeks a Mechanical/Plumbing and Fire Protection Designer to join a multidisciplinary team. You will design plumbing and fire protection systems for buildings and help prepare drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD/REVIT.

The role requires knowledge of pumping, medical gas, and compressed air systems, plus familiarity with applicable codes. Strong teamwork and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

Experience designing mechanical plumbing and fire protection systems for a variety of building facilities.
Familiar with design and calculations of storm, sanitary, domestic water, and fire protection systems.
Familiar with pumping, medical gas and compressed air systems.
Mechanical Eng Tech degree or B.Sc.(Eng) in Mechanical Engineering.
Familiar with relevant codes and standards.
Proficient with AutoCAD/REVIT.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
