Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Halifax, Canada, is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical/Piping Designer to join the Integrated Design team. You will work on a variety of energy and resource projects ranging from studies to detail engineering across North America and beyond.

This role emphasizes design work with minimal supervision, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality solutions while growing technical expertise within a global design firm.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in the industrial consulting industry.
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field.
Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office in Windows (Word/Excel/Access).
Ability to work with evolving technology and project assignments.

Responsibilities

Apply design skills to prepare or coordinate contract drawings through to construction.
Collaborate with Mechanical group members, other disciplines, and clients to achieve project success.
Carry out assignments on project design teams.
Communicate effectively with team members and project teams.
Provide technical mentoring and support to junior team members.
Draft using AutoCAD, Plant3D, Cadworx, Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit, AvevaE3D, MicroStation.
Model piping and mechanical systems in 3D and review isometrics.
Collect and verify data at client facilities.
Prepare isometric drawings.
Interpret field drawings and representations.
