Calor is expanding its Operations team at the Stoney Stanton site and seeks ambitious Maintenance Technicians to join our team. You will focus on preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns, keeping plant equipment safe and efficient.

The role requires City & Guilds Level 3+ in an engineering discipline, ability to read technical drawings, and experience with lathes, mills and drills. You must have the right to work in the UK and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production maintenance environment.
• City & Guilds certification in engineering (Level 3 or above).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment breakdowns promptly.
• Perform planned maintenance to optimise equipment performance.
• Install and modify mechanical equipment per Calor specs.

We’re now expanding our Operations team and are looking for ambitious Maintenance Technicians to join our site in Stoney Stanton.

The Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Stoney Stanton site. You will focus on both routine preventative maintenance and responding to equipment breakdowns, keeping our machinery running efficiently. Your skills will be critical in maintaining, fabricating, fitting and modifying plant equipment while ensuring safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment breakdowns swiftly and effectively.
• Perform planned maintenance tasks to optimise equipment performance.
• Install and modify mechanical equipment in line with Calor specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proactively report hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork promptly.
• Be flexible in supporting shift coverage and responding to urgent maintenance needs.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a production maintenance environment.
• A recognised City & Guilds certification in an engineering discipline - level 3 or above.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with precision.
• Experience with operating lathes, mills, and drills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing maintenance needs.
• A thorough understanding of engineering standards and mechanical repairs.
• Must have the right to work and reside in the UK.

Desirable Qualifications

• NEBOSH/IOSH Safety qualification.
• COMPEX Qualification.
