Job summary

LondonEnergy Ltd is hiring a Semi-Skilled Mechanical Operative to join the Mechanical Maintenance team at EcoPark, Edmonton North London. The role supports reactive and preventative maintenance to keep the waste-to-energy plant safe, efficient and reliable, including cleanliness and ground-keeping related tasks.

The position follows a rotating day and night shift pattern and requires availability for call-outs outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy industry or mechanical maintenance preferred.
• Demonstrates determination and accountability to complete tasks.
• Team-oriented and approachable, communicates across disciplines.
• Strong awareness of health and safety and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out lubrication and routine maintenance of machines and plant.
• Work on rotating machinery, check pump oil levels and grease bearings.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and serviceable equipment tasks.
• Assist Technicians in completing maintenance across all areas of the energy centre.
• Undertake general labouring and housekeeping to keep plant areas clean.
• Maintain tools, lifting gear and workshop to high standards; ensure safety.
• Operate mobile plant, forklift trucks, and cranes; cover Operator duties when needed.
