Job summary

Cameco is hiring a Senior Mechanical Field Superintendent to manage field operations at Rabbit Lake, SK. The role ensures safe execution of mechanical and piping tasks and coordination between contractors and Cameco operations. The schedule is 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, with long days.

Ideal candidates bring multi-discipline mechanical experience and brownfield construction know-how, with a strong focus on safety, quality and timely completion.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with multi-discipline mechanical work required (mechanical equipment, piping).
• Previous experience in a brown field construction environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure contractors in their area work safely per safety program requirements.
• Review or develop detailed work plans per workface planning processes.
• Supervise field labour on mechanical/piping scopes to ensure safe, high-quality work.
• Oversee contractor activities for mechanical/piping ensuring safety and contract compliance.
• Inspect completed work to confirm standards, identify deficiencies, and manage their resolution.
• Monitor schedule and productivity; collaborate with contractor and operations to resolve issues.
• Validate contractor labour, equipment and material reports daily.
• Coordinate field activities between contractors and Cameco operations as required.

Role: Senior Mechanical Field Superintendent
Duration: 12/04/2026 - 12/31/2027
Location: Rabbit Lake, SK
Work Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 11 hrs per working day

Key Responsibilities:

• The Field Superintendent has primary responsibility to ensure contractors within their area are working in a safe manner abiding by all safety program requirements
• The Field Superintendent will review and/or develop detailed work plans according to Cameco’s workface planning processes
• In some instances, the Field Superintendent may perform supervision of direct field labour on mechanical/piping scopes of work ensuring the work is completed safely and to a high quality standard
• In some instances, the Field Superintendent will oversee the contractor’s activities of a mechanical/piping nature confirming the work is completed safely and according to all contract requirements
• Inspections of completed work to confirm it is completed to appropriate standards, identifying deficiencies and managing the completion of deficiencies
• Monitoring the schedule and productivity of work and work collaboratively with the contractor and operations personnel to resolve issues and barriers
• Daily validation and approval of contractor submitted labour, equipment and material reports
• Responsible to coordinate field activities between contractors and the Cameco operations team as required
