Job summary

Jardeg is seeking a Steamfitter/Pipefitter Journeyperson to work on a project at Cameco in Key Lake, SK. The successful candidate will read and interpret drawings and ensure the proper installation and maintenance of piping systems.

Candidates must hold a Steamfitter/Journeyperson Certificate and meet several safety qualifications. This position offers a camp accommodation arrangement and follows the FIFO schedule from Saskatoon. We promote an inclusive workplace with equal opportunity.

Qualifications

• CSTS 2020 or SCOT certification required.
• WHMIS 2015 certification needed.
• Fall Protection certification is preferred.
• Confined Space certification is preferred.
• Elevated Work Platform certification is preferred.
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada required.
• Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol testing is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Cut openings for pipe using tools or machines.
• Select type and size of pipe required.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes.
• Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints.
• Test system for leaks using testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements;
• Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machine;
• Select type and size of pipe required;
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools;
• Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system;
• HDPE Fusion experience NPS 4‑20″ (with fusion tickets) and/or Vic Roll Grooving NPS 4‑24″; install supports, valves, piping and control systems;
• Test system for leaks using testing equipment;
• Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system;
• Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system;
• Involved in working with power tools and heavy equipment.
