The Mechanical Engineering Intern (EIT) supports design, analysis, and delivery of mechanical projects, under senior supervision, and collaborates with clients, contractors, and teams to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in a related mechanical engineering position.
• Experience with design, assessment, operation, or maintenance of mechanical systems is an asset.
• Working towards Professional Engineering Certification (P.Eng.).
• Knowledge of CSA, ASME, ASTM, API and provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify technical calculations for mechanical systems.
• Assist with design, assessment, rehabilitation, and optimization of mechanical systems and infrastructure.
• Conduct site visits for data collection, condition assessments, and inspections.
• Develop technical specifications, engineering drawings, and construction documentation using CAD tools.
• Support project timelines, budgets, and resource planning.
• Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and project documentation.
