Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Experience with large-scale, heritage designated projects preferred.
  • Eligible to obtain PSPC Reliability security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in client meetings and proposal preparation.
  • Prepare engineering design for building systems, including fire protection.
  • Utilize relevant software for design and analysis.

Skills

Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario
Mechanical engineering and design experience on major complex building projects
Working knowledge of National Building Code of Canada

What you can expect to do here:

  • Participates in client meetings and proposal preparation activities;
  • Prepare engineering design including calculations, specification and drawings for the following building systems:
    • Fire Protection
  • Utilize industry specific software and related technologies in design and analysis;

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
  • Minimum 5 years mechanical engineering and design experience on major complex building projects – experience with large scale, heritage designated projects a distinct advantage.
  • Must possess working knowledge of National Building Code of Canada and the Ontario Building Code.
  • Understanding of LEED v4.0 and ASHRAE 90.1 standards.
  • A working level understanding of REVIT MEP 3D is considered a definite advantage.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Applications.
  • Be eligible to obtain PSPC Reliability security clearance to work on this Government Project.
