Career Opportunity

GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about mechanical architectural design and project delivery. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will focus on mechanical design efforts for our sonar array product, contributing to all development stages from conceptualization to testing and verification. You will collaborate with team members, assist junior engineers, and interface with project managers and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Your experience will help ensure development work is executed successfully on systems used above and below water.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop marine and sonar products, systems, and processes, creating detailed plans and specifications.
  2. Participate in engineering design reviews.
  3. Identify technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  4. Conduct tests and simulations to meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
  5. Manage tasks to meet scope, timelines, and budgets.
  6. Identify and mitigate technical risks, reporting to leads and management.
  7. Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
  8. Maintain detailed documentation of designs, tests, and modifications.
  9. Provide verification evidence for customer acceptance.
  10. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications
  1. Post-secondary degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Professional Engineering designation in good standing (preferred).
  3. Experience with CAD software and engineering tools.
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  5. Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  6. Understanding of engineering principles and safety protocols.
Security Requirements

Applicants must be eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods and Security Clearances.
