As our new Mechanical Engineer, you will perform a wide variety of tasks, all of which are integral to the success of our company. Your primary goal will be to manage the design process of our material handling equipment, such as cranes, hoists, under hook equipment, and forklifts. You’ll handle estimating, run calculations, and use AutoCAD to prepare technical drawings.
You have a genuine desire to succeed, which is why you’ll excel here. You’re motivated, and think outside-the-box to solve interesting problems. You’ll exercise your creativity every day, digging deep into problems and drawing on your manufacturing and mechanical engineering expertise to provide solutions to our customers.
You’ll be committed to learning the full breadth of our equipment and specifications, enabling you to work independently on your projects. At the same time, you’ll love the opportunity to work collaboratively here, learning from the best and growing your knowledge every day. Success here depends on being a team player, capable of working cross-departmentally to ensure customer satisfaction.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at our head office in Dartmouth. The salary range is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, RRSP matching, and 5 paid sick days in addition to vacation time. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
