Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Division Manager in the Greater Toronto Area to oversee sales representatives across four offices. This leadership role drives operational excellence, sales performance, customer satisfaction, and team development.

You will align business strategies with regional leadership, support project execution, engage contractors and engineers, and coordinate between sales, estimating, project management, and engineering teams to deliver results.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of leadership experience within HVAC, mechanical, or building systems industry.
  • Proven success managing multi-location operations, sales teams, or mechanical divisions.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical construction, estimating, project delivery, and contractor relationships.
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.
  • Diploma in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a Professional Engineering designation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and commercial leadership for the mechanical division across multiple locations.
  • Develop and execute regional business strategies that support revenue growth, profitability, and increased market presence.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor teams, creating a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and exceptional customer service.
  • Establish annual performance objectives and ensure regional teams remain aligned with organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, developers, and key industry partners throughout the region.
  • Support business development initiatives while assisting team members in strengthening existing customer relationships and identifying new opportunities.
  • Oversee the preparation of project quotations, tenders, and pricing strategies, ensuring submissions are accurate, competitive, and delivered on schedule.
  • Provide leadership on major project opportunities, coordinating internal resources to maximize successful bid outcomes.
  • Review upcoming construction opportunities and allocate projects appropriately among sales representatives, estimators, and project managers.
  • Monitor project execution from award through completion, providing guidance to project teams and assisting with issue resolution when required.
  • Ensure submittal packages, technical documentation, and project deliverables are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Facilitate regular project and operational review meetings to monitor workload, project progress, forecasting, and resource allocation across all three locations.
  • Partner closely with engineering and specification teams to increase product specifications and strengthen market positioning.
  • Maintain current product knowledge by participating in manufacturer training programs and encourage ongoing professional development throughout the regional team.
  • Promote consistent communication and collaboration between branches and cross-functional departments to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and career development opportunities, and support succession planning across the region.
  • Ensure operational processes, customer service standards, and safety practices are consistently maintained across all locations.
