Job Overview

As a Mechanical Designer at Vention, you will create structural designs, collaborate with clients, and provide design insights using Vention’s MachineBuilder CAD software. You will work closely with stakeholders on hundreds of industrial projects and support pre‑sale scope validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers at flagship manufacturing companies to understand requirements and create effective solutions/design using Vention 3D MachineBuilder and a library of modular components.
• Lead design review sessions with clients to provide feedback and insights.
• Review users’ designs for performance, structural integrity, efficiency, and quality.
• Create custom parts and drawings using standard CAD software.
• Contribute to the development of Vention’s parts library and CAD platform by providing continuous feedback to our hardware and software teams.
• Train clients on design best practices with MachineBuilder.
• Run brainstorming sessions and technical post‑mortems.
• Test and troubleshoot designs assembled in-house prior to shipment.
• Establish references, standards, work methods, and best practices.
• Support the application engineering team with subsystem designs on complex automation projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design (machine frame, safety enclosure, industrial furniture, etc.).
• Diploma in Industrial Design, technical degree in mechanical engineering, or related studies.
• Take‑charge attitude with a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Strong communication skills and passion for daily client interactions and mechanical designs.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
