Job summary

Delta Star Inc. seeks a talented Mechanical Designer to support the design and development of mechanical components for medium-voltage mobile transformers and mobile substations.

You will create 3D models and shop drawings to meet customer requirements. You will collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams, using Autodesk Inventor, and participate in design reviews to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.

Qualifications

• College diploma or equivalent in mechanical design
• Experience in mechanical design, drafting, or 3D modeling
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications and manufacturing requirements

Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D core and coil models using EAP and ensure standards compliance
• Produce detailed shop drawings for manufacturing and verify accuracy
• Design internal woodwork structures and perform 3D lead routing using Autodesk Inventor
• Generate material usage files to support ERP analysis and procurement
• Provide drafting support to production by addressing missing dimensions and drawing revisions
• Assist with external transformer components and tank drawings
• Support plasma cutting and wood-routing programming activities
• Participate in design reviews with customers, consultants, and internal teams
• Provide technical drafting and design support to departments, customers, and suppliers
