Job summary

Sogeclair in Montreal is seeking a design engineer to perform design and styling of parts, modify 3D models, and develop technical drawings for aerospace components. You will ensure accuracy by applying AS 9100 standards and collaborating with production and engineering teams.

The role requires 2–5 years of relevant experience, a DEC in aeronautical construction or mechanical engineering, and proficiency with CATIA V5, 3DVia, and MRP tools. Bilingual FR/EN is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• DEC in aeronautical construction or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in the aeronautical or manufacturing sector is an asset.
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Master First Article Inspection control processes.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5 and 3DVia for design and modeling.
• Knowledge of MRP software such as SAP and BaaN.
• Knowledge of Mentor Graphics or Corel Draw is an asset.
• Knowledge of design software (Autocad, Smarteam, Enovia, MBOM) is an asset.
• Bilingual: French and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Research documentation on technical specifications when not provided by the customer.
• Research root causes and solve problems.
• Act as technical support for production and engineering.
• Assist in drafting quality procedures.
• Share technical knowledge with team members.
• Check assembly manuals.
• Understand the requirements of AS 9100 standards related to the responsibilities of this position;
• Respect the company's QMS procedures and apply tools to them during the execution of tasks.
