Job summary

SOGECLAIR is seeking an aerospace engineer in the Montreal area to develop concepts, create cabin layouts, and lead design meetings. The role involves supervising technical work, ensuring project phases from conception through validation, and mentoring junior engineers.

Strong CATIA V5 and MS Office skills, plus French or English proficiency, are essential. We offer a fixed daytime schedule, a full-time position, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• DEC in aeronautical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 months of experience in aeronautics or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CATIA V5.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and presentations for aerospace projects required by clients.

Job description

THE TASKS YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

• Develop concepts and provide presentations for aerospace projects required by clients.
• Prepare cabin and monument layout plans and their technical specifications.
• Participate in conceptual and design process meetings to establish all phases of project development.
• Supervise technical development and transmit skills to junior engineers within the company.
• Supervise the modification, validation, and revision phases of aerospace projects.
• Develop quality procedures, operating instructions, maintenance schedules, and reports for clients and users.

Position conditions:

• 40h / week (Full-time/permanent).
• Fixed schedule, daytime.

YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS

• Qualifications
  • DEC in aeronautical engineering or any related field.
  • At least 12 months of experience in aeronautics or any related field.
• Skills
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Mastery of CATIA V5 software for 3D design and modeling.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • High sense of responsibility and accountability in task execution.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
