Job description

We are looking for an experienced individual to join our company and our diverse line of work. We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about approaching new challenges and projects. In this position, you'll work on both mechanical and structural designs.

GHI delivers solutions to customers in the form of innovative products using a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will prepare mechanical or structural designs, drawings and related technical information. Job candidates should be comfortable working on small projects from start to finish with minimal supervision. Your duties may include:

• Creating mechanical designs starting with design requirements through to detail drawings.
• Determining motor horsepower requirements and power transmission component design.
• Developing and preparing structural designs and drawings.
• Completing documentation packages & producing drawing sets.
• Checking and verifying design drawings to conform to specifications, design data and customer requirements.
• Comfortable in preparing projects for detailing by others or fully completing it themselves as the project and workload dedicates.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be experienced in 3D design software.
• The ideal candidate will have experience with Inventor, Fusion360, Advanced Steel or other 3D modeling software.
• The ideal candidate would have an interest in or familiarity with mechanical equipment, hands-on work, and 3D printing.
