Job summary

A community-based diagnostic imaging facility in Kamloops, BC is seeking a certified Medical Imaging Technologist (X-Ray Technologist).   • Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

·Perform all general duty radiographic procedures in accordance with established standards, procedures and protocols.

·Collaborative working relationship with radiologists, physicians and support staff.

·Ensures relative data is collected for all procedures.

·Prepares patient for DI procedures, verifying relevant patient information and explaining the x-ray exam and what to expect before, during and after.

·Keeping up-to-date documentation on new procedures and/or protocols, equipment maintenance records, etc.

Qualifications

·Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program.

·Certification of either CAMRT designation OR CLXT designation.

·Organized with strong communication skills

·Ability to work independently; managing your own department.

·Experience is an asset, but NEW grads are encouraged to apply!
