Job summary

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a dynamic Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Pickering Refurbishment project within the Nuclear Refurbishment team. You will produce design deliverables to enable planning, execution, and restart of refurbishment work, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address complex challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant design engineering experience in pressure boundary modifications or similar.
• Experience with ECC governance and engineering change management is preferred.
• Experience preparing NICR, temporary and permanent modifications is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed design packages and NICR packages for pressure boundary modifications.
• Coordinate with construction vendors and stakeholders to respond to RFIs and manage engineering holds.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including OEMs and EPC vendors to address technical challenges.
