Job summary

STERIS AST Equipment and Technologies Division is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Designer II to develop blueprints, schematics, and BOMs for Mevex sterilization systems. You will assemble and test sub-assemblies, collaborate with internal teams, and contribute to design reviews to meet project timelines.

You will work on innovative radiation sterilization technologies, learn cross-disciplinary skills, and travel to customer sites for installation and support as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 years or more of professional ME experience.
• Experience with technical drawings, specs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions for sterilization machines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to design parts.
• Lead small sub-projects and contribute to design reviews and testing.
• Ensure designs meet safety, standards, and validation requirements.
• Travel to customer sites for installations or support as needed.
