Job summary

Stantec in Canada is seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead complex plumbing, ventilation and other systems across institutional, industrial, commercial and transportation projects. You will guide study, design and project management tasks in a collaborative, innovation-driven Buildings group.

With over 15 years of mechanical engineering experience and membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, you will mentor teams, raise design quality and help advance sustainable design

Qualifications

• Over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, including institutional projects in plumbing, ventilation, and other complex mechanical systems.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• Proven ability to communicate a clear vision, inspire, and create a high level of commitment within the team.
• Strong interest in mentoring and knowledge sharing, with an aptitude for guiding and developing the skills of team members.
• Expertise in mechanical design, with an ability to improve design processes.
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement of practices.

Responsibilities

• Study, design, and management of various projects throughout Quebec, across the country, and even overseas.
• Lead and mentor mechanical engineering teams in multidisciplinary settings.
• Develop and implement high-quality mechanical solutions for institutional, industrial, commercial, and transportation projects.

Your background

Pay Range

• Locations in Lower Mainland -- BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$128,300.00 - $178,300.00 Annuel

Pay Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
