Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering for our Laval, Montreal, or Longueuil offices to lead study, design, and project management across Quebec and beyond.

You will mentor, guide, and inspire a high-performing team while advancing sustainable, integrated design in institutional, industrial, commercial, and transportation settings.

Qualifications

• Over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, including institutional projects in plumbing, ventilation, and other complex mechanical systems.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• Proven ability to communicate a clear vision, inspire, and create a high level of commitment within the team.
• Strong interest in mentoring and knowledge sharing, with an aptitude for guiding and developing the skills of team members.
• Expertise in mechanical design, with an ability to improve design processes.
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement of practices.

Pay Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
