Job summary

Orica in Williams Lake, BC is seeking Red Seal Mechanics to join the Gibraltar site team. You will perform maintenance and repair on mobile and static explosive pumping equipment and contribute to safe, reliable mining operations.

Candidates must hold Inter Provincial Red Seal – Heavy Duty or Truck & Transport, have a valid Class 1 (or Class 3 with air), a clean driving record, and willingness to travel across Western Canada; housing and meals are provided during shifts.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certificate required: Inter Provincial Red Seal – Heavy Duty or Truck & Transport.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class 1 license or Class 3 with air; clean abstract.
• Experience with electrical and hydraulic repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on mobile and static explosive pumping equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and hydraulic failures and carry out repairs.
• Travel to sites across Western Canada to support operations.

Red Seal Mechanics - Gibraltar - 7/7 - Transportation Provided + Housing - $50/hr - Williams Lake, BC

Orica is seeking Red Seal Mechanics to join their team at the Gibraltar site near Williams Lake, British Columbia. These professionals will provide maintenance and repair support for mobile and static explosive pumping equipment, ensuring operational reliability in a mining environment. The ideal candidates are self-starters with strong safety backgrounds, mechanical expertise, and a willingness to travel to various sites within Western Canada.

What You’ll Need

• Inter Provincial Red Seal certificate – Heavy Duty or Truck and Transport (Commercial Transport)
• High School/Secondary School diploma or equivalent
• Class 1 driver’s license OR Class 3 with air (asset)
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Experience in electrical and hydraulic repair and failure diagnosis
• Experience with Detroit Diesel, Mercedes, CAT power plants
• Ability to work in a heavy equipment environment
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft programs
• Strong safety background
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in all conditions
