Under the supervision of the Foreman, the incumbent acts as the primary resource to ensure the reliability of the mining site's equipment. They are responsible for the inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as the diagnosis and repair of mobile (heavy and light) and stationary plant equipment. The mechanic must demonstrate exceptional versatility, actively participating in related tasks such as welding, inventory management and operational support while maintaining rigorous health, safety and environmental standards.
Work site: Mining site in Fermont, Northern Canada. Physically demanding work involving noise, dust, varied postures, work at heights and outdoors under diverse weather conditions.
