Job description

Your responsibilities

  • Perform and coordinate maintenance and repair work with fellow mechanics.
  • Provide assistance to Sales department.
  • Comply with safety procedures as set out by company policy and provincial Health and Safety Act .
  • Participate in weekly job box meetings.
  • Work in coordination with property managers, designated managers, general contractors, and owners to meet or exceed contractual obligations.
  • Participate in the training of field personnel as required.
  • Assure the application of optimum workmanship and the development and maintaining of good working relationships between colleagues and customers.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication.
  • Take ownership of work-related issues.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation.

Your qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required coupled by a minimum of five years’ experience in the elevator industry.
  • Must be in possession of a valid Mechanic’s License and Valid EDMA License.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical reasoning and comprehension skills.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • A desire to learn, maintain and expand knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
  • Requires demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of employees and customers, internal and external.
  • TAC 32 experience an asset.
