Job summary

Wainbee in Etobicoke, ON is seeking a Truck Mechanic (310T/310J) for direct placement. The role offers an hourly wage of $42.82 plus a $1.00 premium shift, with afternoons 3:00PM-11:00PM (Mon-Thu) and 3:00PM-10:00PM Fridays.

Direct placement and onsite work with PPE and safety focus. Responsibilities include maintenance, diagnostics, parts handling, safety inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance with MTO/MOL/MOE.

Qualifications

• Red Seal 310J or 310T
• Basic set of hand tools for truck repair
• Valid G Class license or greater
• Document of valid certification in good standing
• 2 years experience

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain daily housekeeping as directed
• Communicate clearly and respectfully
• Document valid certifications in good standing
• Prepare repair requisition tickets for transport and production staff
• Ensure service and maintenance meet MTO, MOL, MOE requirements
• Coordinate daily scheduling of service/repair with Lead Hands
• Receive and sign for stock, allocate to BIN locations
• Control parts inventory to maintain min/max levels
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and servicing
• Facilitate safety inspections
• Repair equipment and replace parts as needed
• Assess equipment for repair/dispatch
• Identify faults on loaders, skid steers, forklifts, hydraulics
• Adhere to safety OHS codes and conduct

Truck Mechanic (310T OR 310J)

Location: Etobicoke, ON

Position Type: Direct Placement

Position Summary:

• Organization and housekeeping daily as outlined by the company
• Clear, respectful communication and interpersonal skills
• Documentation of valid certification in good standing as required
• Ensure repair requisition tickets are readily available for transportation and production staff
• Ensure all service and maintenance practices meet the regulatory requirements for the MTO, MOL, and the MOE
• Work with Lead Hands to coordinate and control the daily scheduling of service and repair of all road and plant equipment
• Receive and sign for stock inventory from suppliers and insure properly allocated by BIN locations as outlined by Lead hand.
• Assist in providing control over parts inventory ensuring that inventory levels are kept within the predetermined minimum / maximum
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and servicing
• Facilitate safety inspections
• Repair equipment and replace parts where appropriate
• Assess equipment to see if they require to be sent out for repair
• Recognize and report faults or malfunctions on all company equipment, not limited to loaders, skid steer, forklifts and hydraulic systems
• Must adhere to safety OHS codes and conduct
