The Company

Our client has over 30 years of experience with utilities around the Greater Toronto Area. They are focused on various construction, engineering, and other operations to support national and international companies.

The Job

As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing trucks, and other heavy diesel vehicles. Your duties will include:

• Diagnosing faults/malfunctions and repairing vehicle parts
• Maintaining various components, including steering, suspension, ignition and electrical systems, transmission (automatic and standard), as well as cooling and heating systems
• Testing and adjusting repairs systems to ensure vehicle runs smoothly
• Performing routine maintenance on vehicles (including cleaning)
• Other related tasks, as required

What you bring to the job

You are someone who is punctual and professional. You take pride in your work and are responsible for your tasks without needed supervision. You also come with:

• Completion of 310T apprenticeship program
• 5+ years of work experience in a similar role
• Valid ‘G’ Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract required; Class DZ or better considered an asset
• Must be able to operate manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; including ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and safely climb a ladder.
