Job Description – 310T Mechanic

Position Overview

The Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty equipment by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs regularly. The role requires managing tools and supplies to ensure the equipment is always operational.

Key Functions & Duties

• Perform routine diagnostics and repairs on equipment using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
• Inspect and troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Operate and test equipment on-site and in the field to meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Perform major repairs to engines, electrical, and fuel systems as needed.
• Create and follow a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication, and tire replacements as needed.
• Ensure timely entry of work orders and parts replacement.
• Maintain detailed service and repair reports.
• Provide high-quality work promptly.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 310T licensed Mechanic (Construction Industry preferred).
• Valid 310T Certification in good standing.
• Own your own tools.
• Valid and current driver’s license.
• Customer-centric engagement with internal and external clients.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Well-organized and effective under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
