Job summary

WRT Equipment Ltd. in Saskatoon, Canada, is seeking a motivated Mechanic to join our team. You will read blueprints, assemble components, inspect to spec and test run as needed.

This role requires the ability to work alone or in a crew, manage multiple projects, maintain safety, and report to supervision. A valid Class 5 license is required; group health insurance and safety allowance are provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy industrial mechanical trade.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work alone or in a team setting.
  • Ability to take on multiple projects at one time.
  • Must hold and maintain a Valid Class 5 Drivers License.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, requisition hardware and components for assembly.
  • Assemble components according to procedure.
  • Inspect components to specification.
  • Test run components when required.
  • Follow QA procedures and participate in QA program.
  • Clean shop daily.
  • Work safely and consider others' safety.
  • Report to shop foreman or production manager.
  • Be willing to work in other areas of production as needed.
  • Be responsible for quality of work.
  • Complete tasks timely and keep shop tidy.

Job description

WRT Equipment Ltd. is a manufacturer of high quality equipment and components for the aggregate, asphalt and mining industries. We are an ISO:9001 2015 Quality Management System registered company and are currently seeking a highly motivated person for the position of Mechanic.

Duties
  • Read blueprints, requisition all hardware and components required for assembly
  • Assemble components according to proper procedure
  • Inspect components to specification
  • Test run components when required
  • Follow all procedures involved in the QA program and actively participate
  • Clean shop on a daily basis
  • Work safely, being mindful of others and their safety as well
  • Report to the shop foreman or the production manager as required
  • Be willing to work in other areas of production as the need arises
  • Be responsible for the quality level of work that he does
  • Complete job tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure shop is kept clean and tidy on a regular basis.
Requirements
  • Must have some experience in the heavy industrial mechanical trade and possess some natural ability with mechanical assembly
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to work alone or in a team setting.
  • Ability to take on multiple projects at one time.
  • Must hold and maintain a Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
