Job description

Looking for a reliable, hardworking Mechanic Assistant/Laborer to join the team at this thriving and reputable gravel company that specializes in construction and aggregate supply and hauling.

Duties Include
  • Preventative Maintenance.
  • Assist in Truck and trailer repairs.
  • Assist in heavy‑duty equipment service and repair.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Other duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Valid driver's license, minimum Class 5.
  • Mechanic Apprenticeship an asset but not required.
  • The willingness to learn and work hard is an asset.
  • Basic problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge—OH&S rules and regulations guidelines.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Daily maintenance.
  • Assist the Lead mechanic in various repairs.
  • Preventative maintenance.
  • Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities.
  • Follow procedures and guidelines.
  • Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Attend company training and safety programs as required.
