Job summary

Red River Forage near Morris, MB is seeking a forward-thinking, energetic mechanic with 3+ years of mechanical experience and diesel equipment expertise. The role requires long harvest-season hours and offers specialized OEM training and dedicated team support.

The successful candidate will diagnose, repair and maintain agriculture equipment and semi trucks in a home shop or at the Amaranth facility, with accommodations and meals provided if working at the Amaranth farm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of mechanical experience.
• Experience with diesel equipment (semi trucks, tractors, etc).
• Ability to work long hours during harvest season.
• Farm experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain semi trucks/trailers and farm equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a shop environment.
• Work with foreman, service writer and parts person to support operations.
• Be adaptable for additional farm tasks as needed.

Red River Forage is a family run hay and straw business near Morris MB. We are looking for a forward thinking energetic experienced mechanic to join our growing team starting immediately. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3+ years of mechanical experience, experience working with diesel equipment (semi trucks, tractors, etc), and willing to work long hours during the harvest season. The right applicant will receive specialized yearly OEM training and other training specific to the job. Applicant is expected to take responsibility for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining agriculture equipment and semi trucks/trailer working alongside our current experienced shop team. Position is well supported by a shop foreman/service writer/parts person. Machinery is mostly newer equipment.

Job Description: Job will be focused on repairing and maintaining semi trucks/trailers and farm equipment with some other potential farm tasks available as well

Mechanic position available at our home shop near Morris or our alfalfa production farm/facility in Amaranth. Free accomodations and food also available if working at the Amaranth farm.

Competitive compensation ranging from $75-100k annually depending on mechanical skill and experience.
