Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ag Mechanic and Machenery Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of ag machinery and heavy trucks used on our farm. During seeding and harvest you will get to see your hard work pay off and operate a piece of machinery in the field. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and reliability across operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining high standards of industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on ag machinery such as tractors, combines, field equipment, and heavy trucks
• Operate Ag machinery in the field during seeding, harvest and select other busy times of the year
• Work as part of a team to accomplish tasks
• Collaborate with team members to analyze equipment performance and implement improvements for operational efficiency

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing heavy machinery and ag equipment
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose issues
• Familiarity with ordering parts and finding economical alternatives to OEM parts
• Welding experience is highly desirable
• Experience operating farm machinery and technology is highly desirable
• A basic understanding of crop production is preferred, but not needed
• Experience working with or around livestock is preferred, but not needed
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration
