Job summary

E3 Works in Windsor is hiring a Journeyperson Mechanic for a full-time role with three shifts. Starting wage is $49.26/hr in a unionized environment.

You will maintain and repair mining equipment, diagnose diesel engines and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, read schematics, and perform welding and fabrication. Must have 421A or 310T certification and completion of a Skilled Trades Ontario program.

Qualifications

• Valid 421A or 310T certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanic experience preferred.
• Completion of Skilled Trades Ontario program required.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair stationary and mobile equipment.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Install, disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components.
• Read hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical schematics and drawings.
• Troubleshoot crushers, screeners, conveyors, and mining equipment.
• Perform power transmission and alignment procedures.
• Weld, cut, grind, and fabricate parts.
• Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and maintain a safe workplace.

• $49.26/hr starting wage

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair stationary and mobile industrial equipment
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and low-voltage electrical systems
• Complete installations, adjustments, disassembly, repairs, and reassembly of mechanical components
• Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical schematics, fabrication drawings, and technical prints
• Troubleshoot and repair crushers, screeners, conveyors, and other mining equipment
• Perform power transmission and equipment alignment procedures
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication tasks
• Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and maintain a safe, hazard-free workplace

Requirements:

• Valid 421A – Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or 310T – Truck and Coach Technician certification required
• Minimum 3 years of mechanic experience preferred
• Completion of an accredited Skilled Trades Ontario program required
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines
• Proficiency with low-voltage electrical systems
• Knowledge of crushers, screeners, conveyors, and industrial mining equipment
• Knowledge of power transmission and alignment procedures
